Bible Reading / Following Your Dreams With God

Day 1 | When God Gives You Big Dreams

Read:

Have you ever been called a “dreamer”? Sometimes people say it like it’s a bad thing—but what if it isn’t?

God often places big ideas and dreams in people’s hearts. Think about Joseph. When he told others about dreams in the book of Genesis, they didn’t make sense at first. But those dreams were part of God’s plan.

Your dreams might feel the same way. They may seem too big, too different, too unlikely.

But here’s the truth: those dreams aren’t random. God created you with a purpose, and sometimes he plants dreams in you as part of how he wants to work through your life.

Unless we stay close to God, however, dreams will stay just that—dreams. To really understand what those dreams are for, we need to lean in and look for God’s guidance.

Reflect: What is one big dream you’ve had that you haven’t shared with many people? What do you think God could accomplish through it?
