God begins giving instructions for the building of a house of worship. Since the people are still travelling, it is going to be a tent, not a permanent building. The details will continue for the next several chapters. God has a definite plan for how he expects to be worshipped.
God could have miraculously provided the materials for the tent and even constructed it himself, but he wanted the people to be involved. Today we do the same. Churches rely on the offerings and efforts of people. God doesn鈥檛 need our limited resources and imperfect efforts, but he does desire that we give the best of what we have.
