Some of the ways people in biblical times came to know and believe in Jesus was through the way he healed those with seemingly hopeless illnesses. From blindness to lameness, leprosy to paralysis, seizures and even death, a word or touch from Jesus could heal it all.
Matthew 8:1-17 shares how Jesus healed a leper, a paralyzed servant, and many more, including Peter鈥檚 mother-in-law who was stricken with fever and some who were demon possessed.Luke 8:26-56 demonstrates Jesus healing a man who had been taken over by many demons, a woman with chronic bleeding, and a dying child. In Matthew 9:27-34, Jesus heals two blind men and a demon-possessed man who was mute due to his possession. Even when he was about to be arrested by Roman guards and a slave was injured, Jesus took a moment to heal the man鈥檚 wound before he was taken away. (Luke 22:49-51)
Jesus may not still physically walk on this earth, but he鈥檚 still with us, and we can still ask him for healing.
