“I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me.” Matthew 25:35-36 (ESV)
Purpose:
This biblical command emphasizes presence, in-person faith building and connection to God’s people in the community. This Ministry is about bringing the love and support of the LCBC community to those who are most vulnerable and in need of spiritual and emotional support during times of illness and hardship. To provide a caring presence, prayer, and a listening ear to those who are sick, elderly, or disabled, as well as their families.
Objectives:
- Build genuine connections, active listening, and meeting the specific needs of those visited.
- To provide spiritual support, comfort and encouragement. To show God’s love, strength, and faith to individuals in hospitals, nursing homes, or those confined to their homes.
Join our Outreach/Visitation Team to make a difference to those in our community who need some special attention and a friendly face.
